Second Term Agenda?

A new 'Bushism': We're gonna get us

Malapropism or Freudian slip? You decide. Today President Bush had this to say: “Our enemies are innovative and resourceful, and so are we. They never stop thinking about new ways to harm our country and our people, and neither do we.”

And here I thought the sign on John Ashcroft's door that says "Secretary of Screwing Over the American People" was just an honorary thing.

Off the subject, but I think we should all start using the word 'palaver' more often. It certainly describes what many of us do when we spend time with each other. And its just an interesting word.

Isn't that just a fancy way of saying, as Budach might, "We gotta have talks?" I prefer the phrase "hold palaver" myself.

Exactly. And yes, i suppose in conversation, its better said as 'hold palaver.'

Just guessing: someone's been reading darkish towerly books.
